Synopsis

Due to the overwhelming response that we received last year, IBFIM will continue to organize the ISLAMIC FINANCE AWARENESS PROGRAMME 2014 with the theme 'Contemporary Issues on Islamic Banking Products and Services'. This Program is part of IBFIM's key initiative in imparting knowledge and create the awareness of Islamic Finance within the fraternity. In 2013, overall there has been significant improvement in the participants' knowledge after the event.

This program is split into three section namely Fundamentals of Shariah in Islamic Banking, Introduction to Islamic Financial System and Islamic Banking Products and Services: Mis-selling on Concept and Consumer Banking Products. As such, the program is suitable not only to frontliners but also will be beneficial for officers and managers. This program is also endorsed and recognised as a high impact program by Bank Negara Malaysia and supported by International Shari'ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA).

This year, we have selected five locations nationwide for the program namely Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu.
